OBC Family Fishing Competition 2025

Measure Competition- Online Upload Event

Gates Open 5am, Fish must be uploaded by 3:30pm


  

SATURDAY 8 MARCH 2025 (Rain date Sunday 9 March) 

5.00-11.00am Registered participants arrive and collect their 'catch/code cards', and a glazed ham sandwich, before heading out.

11am-3.30pm Measure station open (by clubhouse). Alternatively, anglers can measure their catch while on the water on an approved measure (meaning fish can be photographed and released).

12.00pm Filleting available (Kai Ika).

2.30-6.00pm Event on the lawn, including; bar, sausage sizzle, bouncy castle and free Mr Whippy.

3.30pm Deadline for uploading catch entries.

4.30pm Prizegiving.

6.30pm Event closes.

CHECKLIST BEFORE FISHING

• Phone is fully charged (for taking pictures)
• Official Measure on board
• Have recorded competition code. Available from 05:00am on competition day.
• Your competition code printed on catch card (must be placed with fish on top left hand of measure in photograph).
• Each angler is registered on the OBC fishing comp site https://obc.fishingcomp.co.nz/ Check you can access the site before leaving land the morning of the Fishing Competition.
